Withdrawals


In-District Students

Please speak with your school counsellor to withdraw from an online course.

Non-Participation: Students who are not logging in, engaging in course work, or communicating with their instructor will be sent 2-3 reminder emails from their instructor. Failure to respond to your instructor will result in a withdrawal.

Please note that students who choose to withdraw from a course or are withdrawn from a course will not be permitted to retake the same course with us again for a year.


Adult Students

If you would like to withdraw from a course, please send an email to virtualschoolbc@sd40.bc.ca, and cc your instructor in the email.  Please include the following information in your withdrawal email:

  • Legal first and last name
  • Student number (if you know it)
  • Course you would like to withdraw from
  • Reason for withdrawal

  • Reason for withdrawal
