Registration - High School Students & Youth (19 and Under)

High School Students & Youth

Students born July 1, 2002 or later are considered youth.

In-District High School Students

If you are a student attending high school in our district (New Westminster), please speak with your school counsellor/advisor for course availability.

High Schools outside of New Westminster School District

Please read the instructions carefully to avoid delay in your registration.

If you are a B.C. high school student enrolled in a school outside of our district (New Westminster), you are welcome to take our online courses as long as it is a new course for you (you are not dropping the classroom course in your current school).

To register:

  1. Check the Course List to make sure the course(s) you would like are available (maximum 2 courses – space and course offerings will be dependent on availability).
  2. Next, download the Youth Registration Form, save it, and fill it in. Have your parent or guardian and your school counselor complete the relevant sections.  Your school counsellor must approve your course(s).
  3. Ask your school counselor for a copy of your MyEducation BC Student Information Verification Form.
  4. Scan and attach both documents in your email to us at virtualschoolbc@sd40.bc.ca, using subject line: E-registration – your last name, your first name, your school name.
  5. Provided the information is complete and the correct documentation is provided, you can expect an email confirmation within 3 school days.

Failure to include all the required information and ID will delay your registration. Please do not send your registration package in more than once.
