Former and current students can order their transcript directly from the BC Ministry of Education via their Student Transcripts Service ( Follow the instructions on their website.  You will need to know your PEN (Personal Education Number).

For courses you have completed with us, information about what happens once you have finished your course can be found in the sections below:

Adult students:

Upon completion of your online course, allow 2 school days for your final grade to be available to you on a “Permanent Record Card”.  If you wish to receive this, we can email this document to you.  This is not considered an Official Transcript of Grades.

Your Official Transcript of Grades can be ordered through the Ministry of Education (see above).  The Ministry of Education can send your Official Transcript of Grades to you or directly to a post-secondary school on your behalf.  Please visit their website for more information.

We submit course marks to the Ministry of Education every Monday (excluding school closures – for example, our school is closed during Spring Break, Winter Break and parts of the summer) and your Official Transcript of Grades is generally updated within 48 hours.

High School students:

Upon completion of your online course, your final grade will be submitted to your counselor at your home school. It is the responsibility of your home school to submit the mark to the Ministry of Education.

Students who have graduated with us:

If you have graduated or will be graduating from New West Online Learning (VirtualSchoolBC), we will have an official copy of your graduation transcript in our files.

If you need to submit a copy to a post-secondary school, you may order your Official Transcript of Grades through The Ministry of Education (see above).

Once you have completed your courses for graduation with us, your official transcript and diploma will be mailed to us (New West Online Learning) within 2 months and available for pick-up.
